Hansa Kaza in Himachal Pardesh



Hansa Monastery is situated in Hansa in Lahul and Spiti district, Himachal Pradesh. It basically lies in the Spiti Valley. River Spiti gushes closeby. The monastery houses a wondrous statue. Tourist attractions in the vicinity include Rangrik, Dhankar, Kunzum Pass, Chandra Tal, Attargo, Batal, Kungri Monastery, Kye Monastery and Kibber Sanctuary. Joginder Nagar and Shimla Railway Station are the nearest railhead. Hansa Monastery can be approached by Losar and Kaza by road.

Hansa - Kaza : (3,660 meters) It is sub-divisional headquarters of Spiti valley. It is situated at the foot of the steep ridges on the left bank of Spiti river. Once it was the headquarters of the 'Nano' the chief of Spiti. It is 425 kms. from Shimla Himachal INDIA.
